How to use Spotburn

1. Create An Account
On the top menu, Choose Login. If you have an account you can log in with your user name, e-mail address, or your phone number. To join fill in as much information as you want. At a minimum you must provide a user name and password. If you want to follow your friends by e-mail or phone you must provide them. We will keep them confidential. For Location, you can put as much or as little detail as you like. You can even just put a zip code. Spotburn uses Google Maps to determine your location, so what ever appears for Google Maps will appear as your location. >

2. Sending Messages
To send a message. You simply send an e-mail to: fish@spotburn.com. You can add photos if you like. If those photos have GPS information in them a map will displayed with the photo. Some phones such as the latest I-Phone include GPS data with photos you take. Some devices such as the Garmin Oregon 550, and the Nikon CoolPix 6000 include GPS data in photos taken with the camera. If there is no GPS data a default map with your location will be displayed. If its your photo you can edit the photo to show an exact or general location. To send a message that only a group can see, put the group name in the subject of the message. Only members of the group will be able to see that message.

3. Your Page
Once you have signed up you page will show all the messages you have sent. You can toggle the view, so you can see your friends messages as well by clicking on the switch icon, next to the Recent Posts. On the right part of the screen is your profile, and a list of friends and groups. You can change, your password, add a profile picture, delete messages, and add information to help friends find you, by editing the Edit Profile.
