Johnny and I took our annual bluefish trip on the Queen Mary. We had blast with loads of bluefish on top. Johnny got everyone throwing poppers.

Fluke ( flounder down here) on the fly at the pier at the flats at Cape Henelopen Sate Park. Dark, sparse clousers. Fish the west side of the pier, in the sloughs that run parallel to the beach. There are three of them, starting about 25 yds. from the beach, then out to about 100 yds. from the beach ( low water) . Watch the incoming, as you have to go back thru the sloughs to get back to the beach and it will get deeper in the sloughs.

Fished this week on Block Island. Fishing was good as always. Sand eels were the key, but this year we had good luck fishing kayaks during the day

Fished with my sons, and lot of other people. Bluefish came in thick the night before and people were lined up on the bridge throwing diamond jigs off of it.

Fished the Housitonic River with the Coastal Flyrodders. The weather was cold and damp, no fish, but always fun.

Even though the forcast for the day was thunderstorms, we had a great day kayaking inside Sandy Hook. Loads and loads of bluefish which would easily take a fly. Saltwater flyfishing is starting off with a bang this year.
